Fitness classes are a great way to work out, meet new people and have fun. I have taught fitness class in North Seattle for over 10 years. I teach indoor classes year round near Magnuson Park and one class outdoors near Green Lake in the summer.  

Total Body Conditioning: you will learn a do-it-at-home free weight and mat work routine;

Sports Conditioning:  you will perform a wide range of exercises that will help you improve in any recreational sport you do or would like to do. S.C. provides an excellent  ongoing base and helps prevent overuse injuries incurred in single sport performance.  

Circuit Training:  In this class you perform an exercise at a station for one minute then move on to the next station with a different exercise until you complete a circuit of 8-12 stations.  Currently this is offered on Wednesdays, Sept. to May.

Classes will be repeated approximately every two months from January through November. The classes are not intended to be progressive but can be. Most people repeat the same class because it meets their fitness level and schedule and they like the instructor!

 

INFORMATION PERTAINING TO ALL FITNESS CLASSES

Classes are open to women and men who are currently injury free. Actually the Total Body Conditioning has evolved to a Women’s class because no men ever signed up for it! All classes meet two times a week.

Wear loose fitting clothes, good support workout shoes and bring water.

Time: 6:00AM to 7:00AM

Days: Both meet two times per week.

Drop in fees available for all classes $14.00/class


Sports Conditioning - Summer Boot Camp

This class is for anyone who wants a challenging one hour workout and who wants someone else to tell them what to do! It is sort of a boot camp type class (but I don’t yell in your face) for everyone who is currently injury free and wants to augment their specific sport training or just wants to be in great condition. Exercises include power drills, speed, strength, agility and of course core work.

Bring water and a mat or towel.

Dates: Coming Summer 2010

Days: Tuesday and Thursday

Time: 6:00AM - 7:00 AM

Location: Upper Woodland Park between Green Lake and the Zoo at #6 large sheltered picnic area by the lawn bowling area.

This class uses a combination of free weights, your own body weight and mat work, Emphasis is on strength, flexibility and balance and a little cardio. It is a well rounded workout and will provide an overall conditioning program so you will have more energy and will feel and look healthier. Fitness Class group

 

Dates: Fall 2009: Sept. 11 to Oct. 30

Days: Monday and Friday - Classes meet two times per week.

Time: 6:00 - 7:00 AM OR 7:15 - 8:15 AM
