“I missed my reunion. I was rowing in the Pan American Games in Havana. I had a dream to be a member of the U.S. Rowing Team. This experience launched me into a new career. I quit my day job of 11 years to train for the Pan Am Games and the 1992 Olympic Trials.”

Following a brief stint developing a health and wellness course and delivering the course to merchant marines while the vessels were underway, she became certified as a fitness trainer with ACE (American Council on Exercise), the Cooper Institute for Aerobic Research and ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine). She started Body Electric Fitness Co. offering in-home personal fitness training services and teaching fitness classes for the No. Seattle Community College and City of Bellevue for adults with limited mobility such as paraplegics, people with M.S., and persons who are post rehabilitation such as joint replacement surgery.

“ I tremendously enjoy the challenge of helping each individual I work with to get and stay fit, I know it helps them age better. More people have health problems from being sedentary than from getting fit. My clients know this and that is one reason why some are still with me after four and five years. "

After competing in sprint and Olympic distance triathlons, Victoria was certified as a USA Triathlon Level 1 coach and organized swimming and triathlon clinics so other women could also gain the skills and confidence to participate in their first triathlons.
