From
Victoria Scott:
"As a certified
Health and Fitness Instructor with the American College of Sports
Medicine, I teach fitness classes
year round, including an outdoor sports conditioning class or "Boot Camp" during the
summer months. All classes focus on functional movement to allow the body
to become stronger and more flexible to keep joints, muscles and bones
primed for all types of movement and to prevent injuries.
"In
2009 I enhanced these services to include clinical hypnotherapy to
enable my clients to bridge the body-mind connection through
performance in the areas of sports, performing arts, business and
high risk occupations.
"As a US Triathlon
Coach since 1996, I specialize in swimming technique and efficiency.
As a certified trainer of swimming instructors and a swim team coach for
many years, the skills of those I teach to swim range from people who are
extremely afraid of the water to people who are training for an Ironman
triathlon who will swim 2.4 miles in open salt or fresh water. I customize
training schedules for sprint and Olympic distance beginner and
intermediate level triathletes."
The
Fitness Events page
highlights “traditional annual” Seattle area recreational events.
Recreational meaning the “race” is only as competitive as you want. You
are the winner when you physically participate rather than spectate!
The Fitness Resources
page provides local clubs and organizations where you can get more info
about various sports and activities and where you can meet like
minded/fitness people, take lessons, and participate in a safe and fun
way.
The
About Victoria page gives you
Victoria’s background. Changing her lifestyle from an overweight smoker to
becoming the oldest woman to make the US Pan American Rowing Team,
launched her career as a fitness trainer in 1996.
She has just expanded
(2009) her services to include clinical hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic
programming (NLP) to better serve her clients.
She is currently training
for the Livestrong Challenge 100 mile cycling ride to raise money for the
Lance Armstrong Foundation and Ride Around Washington, a five day cycling
trip from La Conner to Winthrop over Rte. 2 to Ross Dam and RSVP (Ride
from Seattle to Vancouver (BC) and Party), both in August.

Testimonials:
"Victoria's fitness workouts provide me
with the strength, endurance, and stamina to follow my passion. At
54, I am in complete denial of the aging process, and Victoria's
sports conditioning classes have made that denial not only possible,
but very successful!"

Leigh
"I am 75 going on 74 and the fitness
class with Victoria keeps my stamina and muscle tone in top
shape, and on top of that, my pants fit differently."
~ Gene

for 2 years!"
~

"Victoria's early
morning circuit training class gets
me off to a great start. I had never
exercised early in the morning, but
I discovered it's a great way to
start the day. I never have conflicting
meetings at 6:15 - 7:15 a.m., and
I head off to work with a well-deserved,
self-righteous attitude!"
